The Vision

The vision was for an holistic creative strategy and unique identity that could both define Charlie Parker as a destination and ignite the flames of curiosity throughout the streets of Parramatta. This was to be established as no ordinary development.

Authority Creative are becoming noticed for our ability to draw together seemingly disparate ideas, artists and stakeholders. It was a no brainer to bring artists Elliott Routledge and Shannon Crees on board, both working in the space of pattern, gesture and colour theory. The two are a force to be reckoned with.

Drawing upon well known public artist’s Gillie and Marc’s iconic animal sculptures, the site specific artwork features bright and colourful graphic interpretations. Elliott and Shannons works were then integrated across the entirety of the campaign by graphic design agency The National Grid.

Of course, it made perfect sense to bring our frequent collaborator and design extraordinaire, Shannon Vos, on board to ensure the place vision was carried through to the interiors.

We understand how important a layered approach is to any campaign, it provides an opportunity for information and creativity to be accessed at all levels by the public. Further, words such as ‘legacy’ ‘reach’ and ‘story-telling’ come to mind when we discuss the documentation of public art and creative activations. As a result, for this project, our artworks were packaged up into a beautiful snapshot documentary.

As well as providing all stakeholders with original photography, videography and collateral to be used across all social media, printed and visual channels we delivered digital art assets to continue key identity attributes into the future.
