BLOOM at The Streets of Barangaroo is a celebration of a new season - the rejuvenation & welcoming of life back to the Sydney CBD. The streets, buildings and walkways have sprung to life with the form and colours of nature, with whimsical floral artworks by Australian muralist & figurative painter Lisa King. More than 500 individual artworks adorn the city landscape. Charming arrangements of striped tulips, jacarandas, golden wattles & orchids creating a delightful home for their friends, the monarch butterflies, birds & bees.

THE ARTIST

Lisa King is an Australian muralist & figurative painter whose prominence is expanding globally, showcasing artworks in America, China, Australia and New Zealand. A romantic at heart, Lisa carefully hand-picked and arranged a selection of her favourite blooms to develop floral illustrations adorning The Streets of Barangaroo.

The artworks highlight seasonal treasures such as Striped Tulips, Jacarandas, Golden Wattles, Orchids with their friends, the Monarch Butterflies, birds, and bees. Painting from life, Lisa rendered the flowers on canvas to give them gesture and vitality, before photographing the work and developing the final artwork digitally with striking detail.
